Venus Bronze Clay Ring Class 3/20 morning

Make a ring worthy of Venus as she rose from the sea on a shell in Botticelli’s famous painting.  Although we can’t all be actual goddesses, we can certainly look like Venus adorned with rings fit for one! Students will sculpt a golden bronze ring by making wraps of “tendrils” and adding white bronze “sea” decoration to surround a freshwater pearl to be set after firing.  Note: due to the delicate nature of white bronze, the band must be made using golden bronze but the front decoration can be in white bronze (silver).

Rings will be ready for pickup after firing the following week.

Class Fee: $25 due upon registration 

Kit Fee: $10 for each ring, minus a 10% class day discount; includes pearl
