Fossil Leaf Print Fused Glass Class 9/19
Join us to make a beautiful piece of Fossil vitra, also known as glass fossils! This is a fused glass technique that uses organic material (leaves in our class) to create imprints in glass. Students will choose leaves to apply powdered glass to and arrange them on a glass base of ivory, brown and turquoise streaky glass. The metal content in the glass colors students will choose from react with each other to make an amazing, one of a kind print in the glass. We will have pressed leaves available, but students can also bring their own of they desire. They need to have good veining and be already dried by being pressed fresh between two pieces of paper. Finished pieces are 8 1/2”-9 1/2” x 7”.
